Man scares people with a knife in front of municipality building because his water bill was too high

A man who was outraged over the high water bill he received from a municipality in Çatalköy was arrested by the police for shouting in front of the building.

The individual, named only as H.Ü., a Turkish Cypriot was arrested on Saturday for causing public disturbance.

Police said the man who was drunk, shouted loudly, disturbed the environment and frightened people with a knife in front of the Municipality Building in Çatalköy, on the grounds that "the water bill was too high".

Police said he behaved inappropriately by waving the knife he had in his possession randomly in order to scare the people around him.
