North Cyprus school sends text to student with debt to leave the country within 60 days

Schools in north Cyprus now terminates the admission of students who abandons their studies with debts or report them to the police.

Just this week, a university reported one of its student to the police because the individual was living in the country without a resident permit.

In another instance, a school sent one of their student a text informing the student that he has 60 days to leave the country just because he had debts.

"Your leave of absence from your education institution since (20/02/2024) the date. According to the applicable law, you must leave the country within 60 from the date of cancellation (which is (20/04/2024)", the school wrote.

Has anyone gotten such a message too?
