Kıb-Tek announces a 15-percent increase in the price of electricity

Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority (Kıb-Tek) has announced an increase in electricity tariffs by 15 percent. 

The increase of 15 percent announced on Thursday, Feb., 29 covers both single-time and 3-time tariffs.

Kıb-Tek in a written statement stated that energy sales tariffs have been increased equally for all tariff types and will be effective from Friday, March, 1. 

While the fixed wage was increased by 52.38 percent, taking into account the increase in the minimum wage, the "poor exemption" housing tariff was not increased.

According to this; 

-Temporary current fee per kW in single-time tariff increased from 8.2627 TL to 9.5021 TL, 

-Residential tariff fee between 0-250 kWs increased from 2.8791 TL to 3.3110 TL, 

-Residential tariff fee between 251-500 kWs increased from 5.9396 TL. 8.8305 TL, 

-Residential tariff between 501-750 kWh increased from 6.3865 TL to 7.3445 TL, 

-Residential tariff between 751-1000 kWh increased from 6.9226 TL to 7.9610 TL, 

-Residential tariff above 1001 kWh increased from 8.2629 TL to 9.5023 TL.
