There will be a 6-hour power outage in certain part of north Cyprus on Thursday - Kib Tek
The Turkish Cyprus Electricity authority, Kıb-Tek has announced that there will make a 6-hour power outage in Lefkosia, Dikmen, Boğaz, Lefkosia-Guzelyurt main road on Thursday due to the maintenance and repair work to be carried out on the high voltage electricity network.
Kıb-Tek announced that there will be a power outage of approximately 6 hours in a large area covering Lefkosia, Dikmen, Boğaz, Lefkosia-Guzelyurt main road due to the maintenance and repair work to be carried out on the high voltage electricity network on Thursday.
According to a written statement made by Kıb-Tek, the following regions will be affected by the outage that will take place between 9.00am in the morning to 3:00pm.
“Boğazköy inner village area, Lefkcosia-Kyrenia main road Boğaz junction area, Hediyem Water area, St. Hilarion region, GKK Headquarters region and Ağırdağ, Aşağı Dikmen, Yukarı Dikmen, Yukarı Dikmen water wells area, Yukarı Dikmen sheepfolds area and Dikmen Kırıkkale military, the area between Boğaz Police Lodgings and Karter Barracks and around Fikret Kürşat lands, Dikmen village interior and Dikmen rural area cutting plots area, Taşkent, Dikmen Cemsa Houses, Güngör and Güngör quarries area, the part between Oray Site and Boğaz Police Station, Emaş area, Kömürcü, Dağyolu and Pınarbaşı, Gürpınar and Yılmazköy, Serhatköy, Serhatköy water pump station, Gayretköy and the facility in the region and water engines, Şahinler and Mevlevi, Türkeli, facilities between the Türkeli junction and Zet Karting on the Nicosia/Güzelyurt main road, Alayköy and Metehan Border Gate area, south of Yenikent Vedat Benzinci.”
It was noted that electrical energy may be supplied later or earlier than the specified time, depending on the course of the work.
