Student assaults and injures man in bar in Dereboyo over an arguement

A student who hit a man with a hard object on the hard following an argument between the pair in a bar in Lefkosia will face trial in court. 

The incident happened at around 2:30am on Thursday, Jan., 4 in a bar located in Dereboyo when the suspect, H.K, a Turkish national who was hanging out with friends hit and injured one E.S with a hard object on the head.

The suspect was arrested on Sunday and taken to court.

Police told the court that the suspect hit ES, his girlfriend's boyfriend, on the head with a hard object as a result of an argument, causing a 4-cm cut on his head. 

Police stated that the complaint was filed on January 6, 2024. Police announced that ES was examined by a doctor and it was determined that he had a 4-centimeter cut on his head.

Police stated that the suspect was arrested on January 7, 2024 and statements were obtained from eyewitnesses regarding the incident. 

Police stated that the part of the investigation that could influence the suspect was completed, that she was a senior law student, and requested that she be released on bail.

The judge released the suspect on bail and banned her from travelling abroad.
