Man seeking TRNC citizenship banned by government after he was found to be wanted by Interpol

The TRNC government has declared a Chinese man a banned immigrant after it was discovered that the person who applied for TRNC citizenship due to "high income" was wanted by Interpol with a "red notice".

The man, aged 54, who is named Yanxi Xia and also known as Arman Kaya, was placed on Interpol’s list after being accused in his home country of running a pyramid scheme.

He had applied for ‘citizenship’ in the north as a “high-income individual” in 2020, a year before he was placed on Interpol’s list.

Having now been declared persona non grata, it is expected he will be transferred to Turkey.

According to information in the Official Gazette on the subject on Thursday, one Yanxi Xia / Arman Kaya, born in 1969, in China, applied for "TRNC" citizenship due to "high income" in 2020, and in the security investigation carried out on the person, he was found guilty of "Establishing and Managing a Pyramidal Criminal Organization". It was determined that he was wanted by the authorities.

According to the information that the Chinese authorities notified Interpol in this context and that the person in question was wanted with a "red notice", the Government declared Yanxi Xia / Arman Kaya as a "banned immigrant".
