Employee embezzles company's money in Famagusta, north Cyprus

An employee working for a dental clinic in Famagusta was arrested on Thursday after he was accused of embezzling over 7,000 Euros of company money.

According to police statement on the matter, the theft happened between the period of May and September 2023.

The accused, Ö.Ş, 44, a Turkish national who worked in the dental clinic operating in Famagusta, collected a total of 7,280 Euros in cash from patients coming to the clinic.

It was determined that he embezzled the money rather than putting it in the clinic's safe.

The person in question was arrested after the incident came to the notice of the police.
