Domestic gas scarcity hit north Cyprus as distributors try to manage sales
On Thursday, it was reported that there is a domestic gas distribution crisis in the market leading to companies implementing controlled distribution in order not to run out of stock.
Speaking to YENİDÜZEN about the issue, Intergaz General Manager Kader Kencer confirmed the shortage of domestic gas in the market and said, "We distribute what we have in a controlled manner," adding that the gas-laden ship will arrive on Monday next week.
Malik İşimtekin, General Manager of Cyprus Turkish Petroleum (K-PET), the company that supplies LPG to the north of Cyprus, confirmed that the ship in question will arrive on Monday for filling, and stated that there was a delay due to weather conditions.
Malik said, “It is not a situation to panic. "3,000 tons of gas will be on the island on Tuesday," he said.
