One arrested for assault and kidnapping in Famagusta, one person on the run

A man who was forcefully kidnapped and detained by a group of people has reported the issue to the police resulting in the arrest of the culprits. 

One of the suspects accused of beating the victim in Famagusta was arrested at around 7:00pm on Tuesday in the Ağıllar region of Famagusta.

Police said they forcibly detained and kidnapped the victim.

Police in a statement said the suspects, B.Y., 29 and B.E., 43, were at a party when they attacked the victim, A.A., 25, with stones on the grounds that they came to their on sheep area. 

They deliberately broke the windshield and rear windows of the vehicle the victim was using, deliberately crushed the front hood and right front door, then punched and kicked various parts of A.A's body.

They then severely battered him, detained him without his consent, entered the vehicle he was using and  took him to another place where they threatened him with violence.

While BY was identified and arrested, BE is wanted.
