North Cyprus government bans Turkish national, ISIS member and weapons smugglers from the country
The TRNC Council of Ministers on Thursday announced that it has banned an ISIS member and two others from the country.
The decision announced in the Official Gazette on Thursday states that members of the 'ISIS' and 'Baybaşin' organizations and four 'arms smugglers' were declared "banned" by the Council of Ministers and their entry to the north of Cyprus was prohibited.
According to the decisions taken by the Council of Ministers, Turkish national, Muhammed Hanifi Kulaksız, was banned due to the crimes and illegal activities he committed in Turkey.
It was stated that Muhammed Hanifi Kulaksız and Burak Kulaksız.carried out research on arms smuggling
from Turkey to the north and south of Cyprus and that they attempted to
sell weapons to some groups in Ukraine.
Shamil Kalayev, a native of
the Soviet Union, was declared a banned immigrant by Interpol because he
was a wanted person with a red notice. Kalaev
is wanted by the Russian Federation and stated to be a member of ISIS
and was declared a banned immigrant because it was determined that he
was prohibited from entering the Republic of Turkey.
Arjen Sunal, a citizen of
the Republic of Turkey, was banned from entering the TRNC. It was
stated that Sunal was a member of the "Baybaşin criminal organization",
known by the nickname Haval.
Arjen Sunal, who is recorded as a
shareholder of some businesses in Famagusta including "Win Win Finans, Fast Direct Döviz Ltd. Vip Srnart Rent A", was banned from entering
the country in accordance with the Foreigners and Immigration Law in
order to protect public security and public order, as he was involved in
usury, check-bill and finance activities in the businesses in question.
