The donor's kidneys were transplanted to our patients named UK, 60, who was on hemodialysis, and TB, 61, who was on peritoneal dialysis.

The patients did not develop any complications during the postoperative period, their need for dialysis was eliminated, and their discharge was planned.

Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu Kidney Transplantation Unit physicians stated that approximately 80-100 patients are waiting for a transplant, that anyone with a living donor can receive a transplant, but a person without a living donor cannot receive an organ transplant, and that if transplantation is not made from cadavers, that is, from deceased people, patients who could be treated may die because the organ cannot be found. It was emphasized that organ donors provide hope for these patients with their selfless and wholehearted behavior.
