Greek Cypriot police officer suspended after testing positive to narcotics

A Greek Cypriot police officer has been suspended from duty after she tested positive for narcotics.

Limassol police in a statement last week said a officer tested positive for narcotics during a narcotest.

According to the police, the woman was found positive on Tuesday, last week after police received information that she had been using drugs recently.

On Tuesday night, police were running drugs checks in an area of Limassol, where she was driving. She was asked to submit to a narcotest, which came back positive for cannabis use.
