Seven more arrested in north over forged medical prescriptions

The number of suspects arrested in connection with an investigation into fraudulent drug prescription case in the TRNC has increased to 13 after 7 more doctors and pharmacist were arrested on Saturday.
A total of 7 more people were arrested, including two doctors, two pharmacists and three citizens who were found to have forged signatures on prescriptions issued in the name of other persons.
The number of suspects arrested within the scope of the investigation has increased to 13 people.
One of the doctors and one of the pharmacists were taken to a court in Famagusta on Sunday where they were remanded by the court for two days.
The remaining five were remanded for three days.
The case concerned the submission of fake medical prescriptions to claim money from the ‘social security department’.
