EMU Rector and his assistants resigns
The rector of Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Prof. Dr. Aykut Hodja and his Vice Rectors on Friday announced that they would resign from their positions in a message sent to university employees.
He expressed his gratitude to the EMU family for their support and contributions during his term of office. The professor also expressed his gratitude to both academic and administrative staff for their devoted work.
The teacher must first present this decision to the EMU Foundation Board of Directors and then to the EMU Senate.
The following statements were included in the message sent by the rector to the employees:
As a result of the Rectorate's vacant trend poll opened at our university, with the favor of our valued employees, I took office as the Rector elected for 5 years in June 2020 to carry out the Rectorate duty amid the uncertainty of the pandemic conditions. Under the difficult conditions of that period, considering the health of our employees and students, we diluted it in the first stage and then switched to full face-to-face education at the beginning of the 2021-2022 Fall semester.
