Real Madrid not prepared to wait for Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe as they ready £103m bid
Real Madrid are reportedly preparing a £103million offer to sign PSG star Kylian Mbappe this summer.
The Spanish giants are planning to table a bid in the three days before September 1, when the transfer window ends, to put pressure on PSG, it is claimed.
Mbappe's desire to leave PSG is no secret but he has not been particularly keen to do so this summer, with his initial preference being to join Madrid once his contract is up.
He has refused to sign an extension, leading PSG bosses to insist he must be sold to the highest bidder so they can recoup some cash - but he sensationally refused to speak with Saudi club Al-Hilal after they offered £259m for him.
Now, Madrid are set to try and land their man a year earlier than planned with a late summer swoop, according to BILD.
Montiel close to joining Forest
Nottingham
Forest are close to signing Sevilla right-back Gonzalo Montiel, who
scored Argentina’s winning World Cup penalty in the win over France in
Qatar.
That’s according to The Sun, which reports Montiel will join Steve Cooper’s side in a £9.4 million deal after completing a medical on Monday.
Montiel,
26, who also netted the winning spot-kick to seal Sevilla’s UEFA Europa
League success against Roma, would be Forest’s fourth summer signing.
Laporte set for three-year deal at Al-Nassr
Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte will sign a three-year deal with Al-Nassr, claims The Guardian.
City
have agreed a £25m fee with the Saudi Pro League club and Laporte, 29,
will become Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane’s new team-mate after
undergoing his medical. He will complete the deal having agreed a “salary of £20m on the table,” says the report.
It adds: “His medical has been booked and he will officially join Al-Nassr assuming no issues arise there.”
Adams to join Everton on £15m deal
Everton are close to signing Che Adams from Southampton in a £15m deal, says The Telegraph. The
report states: “Adams has attracted interest from Bournemouth and
Nottingham Forest since Southampton’s relegation to the Championship but
Everton are now increasingly confident of striking a deal.
"Sean
Dyche, the Everton manager, is prioritising the addition of a new
forward after his team were the second lowest scorers in the Premier
League last season.”
Adams, 27, netted the winner in Southampton’s 2-1 victory at Plymouth Argyle on Saturday.
