Man with mental breakdown destroys home properties over play station

The incident happened between 10am and 6pm on Monday, August, 7 when the suspect named only as EG had a nervous breakdown in his residence in Lefkosa and deliberately damaged properties in house including the furniture.
The suspect was arrested on Monday based on the mother's complaint and taken to court on Tuesday on charges of willful damage and threat of violence.
Police officer who testified in court said the suspect, threatened his mother saying, "If you don't buy a Playstation, I will break all the windows in the house."
Speaking in court, the suspect, stated that he had been receiving psychological treatment for a while and that he had a nervous breakdown because he did not take his medication. “I'm very sorry, I didn't do it on purpose, but they don't help me at all, even though my family's financial situation is good. I am a specialist dietitian, if they had helped, I could open a business,” he said.
Noting that the part of the investigation that will affect the suspect has been completed, the police said that the value of the broken glass and porcelain plates and other items has not been determined yet, therefore the suspect could not be prosecuted yet as more investigation is needed on the matter.
Evaluating the testimony given in court, the judge gave a verdict of non-custodial arrest on the conditions that the suspect present a guarantor to sign a bail bond of 75,000 TL, banned from leaving the country and must report to the police station 3 days a week.
