Fire at a market in Famagusta

Fire broke out in a super market operating in Famagusta early Saturday morning.

The fire incident at "Jastin 3 Market" operating on İsmet İnönü Boulevard in Famagusta was possibly as a result of a short circuit at the back of the iceboxes. The fire also damaged another store next door.

The fire was extinguished by firefighters, 

According to police press release, 4 freezers belonging to the market, a cash register and a computer, all the shelves and materials in the front showcase, various food products and goods offered for sale in the market, and the fire spread to the Adidas store were destroyed by the fire.

180 pairs of sneakers, 6 tennis rackets, 10 soccer balls, 20 sets of tracksuits and 40 bags were burned.

Police investigation into the fire continues.
