Earthquake felt between Turkiye and Cyprus

An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale shock Alaya, Turkey and was felt in Cyprus.

The earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale occurred at around 4:16pm on Thursday shortly after 16:00 and was felt in Cyprus.

According to initial information from the Euro-Mediterranean Institute, the earthquake had a focal depth of 30 kilometers and occurred in the sea area between Cyprus and Turkey.
