Turkish Cypriot police raids hotel in Kyrenia, arrest 7 people for dealing in cocaine
A total of 7 people including a Turkish Cypriot artist and businessman were arrested in a cocaine raid in a hotel in Kyrenia.
Police said dozens of items with cocaine residues on them, straws, 50TL banknotes, plastic bottles, candles were found and taken as evidence during a search carried out in two different rooms in the hotel
The suspects; IB, MT, SO, KM, YC, SD, KT were taken to court on Thursday on charges of drug sale and possession.
Police said they are looking for one person who made a wholesale ale to one of the suspects named MT, who is alleged to have sold the substance.
Police demanded that all the suspects be kept in police custody for one day so that more investigation can be carried out on the matter safely.
