TRNC bans working outside between 12:00pm and 4:00pm

The TRNC Ministry of Labor has banned working outside between 12:00pm and 4:00pm from July, 17 to July, 21.

The decision was announced by the Ministry on Saturday.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Security, taking into account the forecasts of the TRNC Meteorology Department that the temperatures will be above seasonal norms and taking into account the danger of working outside under the rising temperature within the scope of the Occupational Health and Safety Laws and Regulations, between 17 July 2023 and 21 July 2023, In order to protect the workers working outside under the sun, based on the authority given to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security by Article 36 of the Labor Law No. 22/1992; Between 12:00 and 16:00, working outside, in the open (in the sun) is prohibited.
