Scorching heat on Sunday as temperature hit 44 C
Cyprus remains in the grip of a week-long heatwave, with conditions set to get hotter, as temperatures are expected to reach a blistering 44 Celsius inland on Sunday.
The Cyrus Met office on Saturday, issued an orange warning. The warning will be in place from 12 noon until 6:00pm on Sunday.
The weather today, Sunday, is expected to be very hot.
The winds will be southeasterly to northwesterly, force 3 to 4 Beaufort over smooth to slight sea.
The temperature will rise to around 44 C inland, 35 C in the western coastal areas and 37 C in the remaining coastal areas, and around 33 C in the mountain areas.
