Orange warning for extreme high temperatures on Sunday

The Cyprus Met office has issued an orange weather warning for extreme heat for Sunday as temperatures are expected to reach 44 degrees inland.

Maximum temperatures are expected to rise to around 44 degrees Celsius inland and around 33 degrees Celsius over the higher mountainous areas on Sunday, July, 23.

The warning will be valid from 12 pm to 6 pm on Sunday.

At night, the weather will be mostly clear with some clouds forming locally on the coast.

Temperatures are expected to remain the same on Monday and on Tuesday, the weather will remain warm with temperature expecting to drop slightly but remain well above average for the season.
