Woman injured in hit and run accident in Güzelyurt

A 52-year-old woman was injured in a hit-and-run traffic accident in Güzelyurt on Friday.

Ayşe Göktemiz, 52 was attempting to cross the road near the Freedom Primary School in Güzelyurt at around 11:00pm on Friday night when she was hit by a car. 

The driver of the car fled the scene of the accident.

Göktemiz who was injured in the accident was taken to the Lefkcosia State Hospital hospital.

The police stated that they do not know the identity of the driver and are continuing to investigate the incident.
