Vietnam woman dies in traffic accident in Lapta, north Cyprus

A motorcyclist was reported dead following a collision with a pickup truck on Turan Street in Lapta.

The incident happened at around 7:50pm on Wednesday.

According to police report, 45-year-old motorcycle driver Nguyen Hong Nhi, a Vietnam citizen was hit by a pickup truck driven by one Menteş Soyluhan, 20 who entered the junction at speed without giving way.

The motorcyclist, who was seriously injured, died in Lefkosa State Hospital, despite all attempts to save her life.

Soyluhan was arrested.
