TRNC police seize nearly 34 kilos of illegal meat at crossing point

Over two dozen kg of beef were confiscated at the Kermiya crossing point between north and south Cyprus on Wednesday by TRNC authorities and an individual was arrested.

According to media report, a 28-year-old man name only as ZCK was arrested by police while trying to cross with 34 kg of beef.

Police said that the individual had 25 kg of beef and another 9kg in mince in their vehicle which were not declared to the custom.

The individual failed to produce documentation for the meat, and was arrested, police said.
