Man sexually assaults his friend 10-year-old daughter in Kyrenia

A man who sexually assaulted the 10-year-old daughter of his friend in Kyrenia had been detained and will face trial in the future.

Seyfi Koç, was arrested and taken to a court in Kyrenia for sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl.

Testifying in court, police said the suspect was visiting a friend's house in Kyrenia when he sexually assaulted his friend's 10-year-old daughter.

Police told the court that the suspect had sexually assaulted the child by rubbing his penis on her hips. 

The suspect was identified and arrested in the Değirmenlik region upon the complaint of the girl's mother.

Police said they found many videos and photos of children in the suspect's mobile phone in investigation carried out on the matter. 

Police said other crimes committed by the suspect could also be revealed. 

Police said the girl was examined by two child psychiatrists at Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital and the medical report is awaited. 

The suspect was also checked by a doctor at Barış Mental and Nervous Diseases Hospital. 

Police said investigation is continuing, but his released will not affect the rest of the case and demanded that the suspect be given an appropriate bail bond but the court instead sent the suspect to prison for a period not exceeding one month until trial.
