Civil Defense and firefighters rescues man who was stuck on rocks in Çatalköy while fishing

A Turkish Cypriot was rescued by the Civil Defense and firefighter after falling off a cliff Near Vogue in Çatalköy on Sunday.

Hüseyin CENGİZ, 44 was fishing was fishing on the rocks by the sea in the area known as Vogue, on the eastern side of the Acpulco hotel operating in Çatalköy, at around 8:00am today when he lost his balance as a result of the waves hitting him and fell to the rocks and got stuck in between it.

He was rescued by the joint efforts of the Civil Defense and firefighters teams who arrived at the scene.

He was transferred to a hospital in Girne for checks after the rescue and discharged afterwards..
