Woman, sets house on fire, stabs husband in Iskele

A 33-year-old woman set her house and barbershop on fire in Iskele, north Cyprus and also stabbed her husband in the back following a disagreement between them.

The incident happened at around 2:00pm on Wednesday in Iskele, north Cyprus.

According to police statement, the woman named only as YK, 33 got into an argument with her husband, named only as MK, 32 in their home in Iskele when she stabbed him in the back.

YK is said to have ignited the pillow in the bedroom with a lighter, set the house on fire and stabbed her husband in the back. 

She also ignited the items in a barber shop, which is located opposite the the house and run by her husband with a lighter. The fire which caused serious material damage were extinguished by the firefighters.

MK, who was injured in his back, was discharged from the hospital after his treatment while YK was arrested.
