One injured in fight in Lefkosa

Two people who were involved in a fight in Lefkosa on Thursday will be tried in court for for fighting  and causing serious injury. 

The incident happened at around 10:00pm on Thursday, May, 18 at the patisserie Mamülcüoğlu operating in the Ortaköy region in Lefkosa.

The suspects, named only as MRM, 23 and AHMS, 20 were arrested on the charges of "causing Grave Damage", "Injury", "Fight" and "Disturbance".

Police said the issue resulted from a verbal argument between the pair the suspect MRM hit AHMS with a wooden line on the head, causing an incision to form on his head.

Police said that the incision in question was detected at the scene of the crime and was treatment following which the suspects were arrested in pursuant of a pending order.

The police stated that the investigation into the incident has just begun, that there are witness statements and camera recordings that need to be taken, and demanded that the suspects be detained for 3 days.
