Man forcibly kidnapped and battered in Çatalköy

Turkish Cypriot police on Thursday arrested two men for the assault and kidnap of a 35-year-old man in Çatalköy, Girne.

The incident happened at around 8:00pm on Thursday, May, 25 in Çatalköy.

Police in a statement said two men named only as VH, 38 and SD, 33, first threatened the victim, named only as EB, 35 with who they were having an argument and then forced him into a vehicle and kidnapped him.

The suspects took the victim somewhere and severely beat him.

Two other people, KD, 30 and MH, 53 were also arrested after they were found to have connection with the incident. 

Investigations into the incident is on going.
