Five Sudanese student arrested in Lefkosa over the suspicious death of their friend
The police have launched an investigation into the suspicious death of a Sudanese student who suddenly fell ill and died while visiting his friends in Lefkosa.
At around, 2:00pm on Wednesday, May, 3, Mohamed Salah Dusougi Muhamedkhir, 23, a Sudanese student in north Cyprus reportedly died while he was in the apartment of his friends located on the 2nd floor in K.Kaymaklı district,
Yumru Sokak, Lefkosa.
The suspects named only as FCT, a female, SB, HA, MHM and AKS all male, who are all from Sudan were arrested on Wednesday, May, 3 and taken to a court in Lefkosa on Thursday on charges of having a connection with the death of Mohamed Salah.
Police officer who testified in court said the deceased will in the apartment, suddenly became ill and died. He could not be save despite all the interventions made by the 112 Emergency Service Ambulance team, who came to the scene.
Police said it found the five suspects in the room where the deceased was located. They were arrested with a warrant from the court.
It was also determined that he was in the house in question as a guest.
Police said during the examination carried out in the room, there was 1 Alyse pill, which was against the drug and pharmacy law.

Police said during the search carried out on the apartment, a total of 60 Rivoclon brand pills were found inserted into the vagina of the first suspect, FCT, which violates the Medicine and Pharmacy Law. Rivoclon contains Clonazepam, a drug used to treat epilepsy.
The police say that the investigation into the matter is under way and they are trying to discover who supplied the drugs.
It was also stated that a postmortem will be carried out on Muhamedkhır to determine whether on not any crime was committed in relation to his sudden death.
They were ordered to remain in detention for one day.
