Two teenagers injured in a fight over alcohol

Two people were injured, one seriously in a fight between teenagers over drinking incident on Saturday evening in Girne.

According to police statement, the incident among teenagers happened on Sertaç Sevim Kalebey Street in Girne on Saturday evening.

The teenagers, named only as ZA, 19, RB, 18, AS, 15 and AK, 15 were under the influence of alcohol.

Police said CE, 16, EA, 15, KT, 19 and AEB, 16, got into a quarrel following an argument on the grounds that they were warned not to drink alcohol. This resulted into a fight as they started hitting each other.

A lot of punches were exchanged between them leading to one of them,  KT, losing a tooth and AEB left with a broken skull. 

The persons in question were arrested, an investigation was launched into the incident.
