Police nabs man caught growing weed in his house in Lapta

Turkish Cypriot police on Tuesday arrested a 53-year-old in Lapta for growing cannabis in his house.

According to the report by Yeniduzen, the suspect, named only as OK, 53 was arrested in his house in Lapta during a drug operation carried out by the teams of the Narcotics and Smuggling Prevention Directorate.

During the search in his house, police said they found a device set up to grow jute cannabis inside 3 jars in a room. The jars contained root cannabis plants grown in pots. 

A total of 880 grams of cannabis-type drugs, 250 grams of which is believed to contain skunk drugs were seized from the house.
