Man detained for harassing a security guard at the Lefkosa State Hospital

The police has arrested and detained a man for allege sexual harassment that happened at the Lefkosa State Hospital.

The suspect named only as  H.İ. was arrested and taken to a court in Lefkosa on Tuesday, March, 4, on charges of sexual harassment. 

Police said the suspect was arrested for sexually harassing a female security guard working at the hospital.

He was arrested on Monday, April, 3 after a complaint by the victim. The woman said the suspect harassed her by squeezing her hips in a room.

Police said the suspect gave a voluntary statement on the subject and that his statements should be confirmed and refuted.

Police demanded that the suspect be detained for 3 days at the first stage for the purpose of investigation, since there are camera footage that needs to be examined.
