Call to return “Cachet 57% organic dark chocolate with almond and cherry” product

The TRNC Department of Basic Health Services called on consumers who have purchased “Cachet 57% organic dark chocolate with almond and cherry” products not to consume the products and to return them to their sales points.

The statement made by the Department of Basic Health Services is as follows;

“Aflatoxin was detected in the analysis made by the manufacturer in the almond, which is in the composition of 'Cachet 57% organic dark chocolate with almond and cherry', which is produced in Belgium and imported to our country, in the countries where it is distributed. Efforts have been initiated to withdraw it from the market. The recommended consumption date (best before) of the product under the recall is 29.01.2024 and the batch number is L22302.

A total of 768 products were imported to the TRNC in January 2023, and 492 of them were placed on the market. Withdrawals from the market have been initiated by the importer company, and it is important that consumers who have already purchased the product in question do not consume the product and return it to their sales points.
