Two people injured in accident along the Famagusta-Lefkosa high way

Two people who were passengers in two vehicles were slightly injured in an accident happened on the Famagusta-Lefkosa high way on Saturday evening.

Police in it's report said the accident happened at around 5:30pm on the Famagusta-Lefkosa high way on Saturday.

Police said the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the accident identified only as A.O, 28, a Nigerian was driving towards Lefkosa on the road when he crashed into the back of another vehicle driven by S.A, 53, a Turkish Cypriot in front of Özçelebi Oto Galeri.

Police said A.O who was driving under the influence of alcohol on the double lane road crashed into the vehicle in front of him due to careless driving.

Following the impact of the crash, his vehicle was thrown forward uncontrollably and then landed on its roof.

A lady, E.P, 19 who was a passenger in his car was slightly injured in the accident. Also, a woman in the other car, S.Ö, 62, A Turkish woman was also injured in the accident.

They were taken in an ambulance to the Famagusta State Hospital and taken to the Emergency Service of the hospital where they were been observed.
