Temperatures to reach 25 degrees on Monday with dust in the atmosphere
A low pressure system is affecting the island, with a thin layer of dust persisting in the atmosphere and people with long term serious health issues, such as respiratory conditions and the elderly, are advised to stay indoors.
Mostly clear skies through the day, but turning partly overcast in certain regions, with thin mist mainly over the eastern part of Cyprus.
Winds will mainly be northeasterly to southeasterly and in western areas, light northwesterly and locally at intervals, moderate force three to four, over calm to slight seas.
Temperatures will rise to 25 degrees Celsius inland, 23 in eastern and southeastern coastal regions, 22 in the rest of the coastal areas and 15 on the mountains.
Clear skies this evening, with thin mist forming in certain inland areas, but mostly in the east.
Winds will be northerly to northeasterly and locally light southeasterly force three, over calm to slight seas.
Temperatures will drop to 8 degrees Celsius inland, 11 in coastal regions and 5 on the mountains, where frost is expected to form on the highest reaches of the Troodos mountains.
Similar conditions through to Thursday, with cloudy intervals.
Temperatures will steadily rise much higher than the seasonal average.
The depth of snow on Troodos square was 22 centimetres this morning.
