Bodies of a Turkish Cypriot teacher and trainer recovered from the rumbles in Turkiye

It was sad news for the TRNC after the bodies of two Turkish Cypriot teachers were recoveed from under the rumbles  from Isias Hotel in Adıyaman.

The lifeless body of a teacher named Ibrahim Yakula and trainer Pamir Konuklu were recovered from the rumbles of Isias Hotel on Wednesday evening.  

Pamir Konuklu is the men's team coach of the TRNC student team.” It was assumed that Konuklu's lifeless body was detected by his wife, who was waiting in front of the wreckage.  Pamir Konuklu was at the hotel with his 13-year-old son, Atakan Celal Konuklu.

TRNC Minister of Education, Nazım Çavuşoğlu who is currently at the site in Turkey made the announcement on social media

The number of people who lost their lives among the group of Turkish Cypriot students and teachers staying at the hotel rose to 2.

Çavuşoğlu also stated that a total of 17 people, including 16 dead and 1 injured, were taken out of the hotel. 

The TRNC Civil Defence Organization is continuing with its efforts in Adıyaman.

The team from the organisation was able to locate and rescue a person from the Isias Hotel, where the TRNC students are located.

The team had previously rescued a young girl from the building opposite the hotel.

Search and rescue efforts for the TRNC students who are trapped under rubble in Adıyaman are continue uninterruptedly.

In the search and rescue efforts carried out in the wreckage around the Isias Hotel, 1 mother and her 2 children, 1 male adult and 1 girl with injuries were pulled out from under the rubble.

Civil Defence teams are working around the clock despite the harsh winter conditions to find the Turkish Cypriot students who were staying at the hotel.
