Attempt to smuggle goods as aid to Turkiye foiled at Famagusta Port

The TRNC Customs officers at Famagusta Port have discovered an attempt to smuggle electronic cigarettes from North Cyprus to Turkey.

The customers officers at the port said they discovered an attempt by someone to smuggle electronic cigarettes from North Cyprus to Turkey on aid trucks bound for the Kahramanmaraş region, the epicentre of two disastrous earthquakes that hit Turkiye on Monday, Feb. 6.

Kibris Postasi comments on the lack of scruples of such persons taking advantage of a national tragedy where over 21,000 people died.
