TRNC police warns of fake US Dollars circulating in Kyrenia

Turkish Cypriot police has issued a warning over fake money in circulation after four people were arrested for spending fake dollars in 4 different markets in Kyrenia.

Police said two people identified only as GB and İ.C were arrested after four supermarkets reported receiving a total of $200 dollars worth of 50 dollar banknotes between  November, 19 and December, 27 2022.

Calling on the citizens to be careful, the police also shared the serial numbers of the counterfeit 50 US dollars banknotes as: MB 34633367A, MB 34631360A, MB 34633378A, MB34632668A.

Two other suspected believed to be related to the issue, CM and Ö.Y. were also arrested.
