TRNC Ministry of Public Works and Transport warns of fraudulent websites
The TRNC Ministry of Public Works and Transport has issued a warning to the public about websites opened for fraudulent purposes.
The Ministry of Public Works and Transport stated that vehicle owners who want to pay the navigation fee online are faced with websites opened for fraudulent purposes, and that the only address where vehicle fees can be paid online is “https://online.vergi.gov.ct.tr” belonging to the Tax Office and this address was also linked via the website of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, “www.bub.gov.ct.tr”.
The statement from the ministry is as follows:
“Vehicle owners who want to pay the navigation fee online and search for 'TRNC Navigation' on Google come across websites opened for fraudulent purposes. Two websites using the domain names 'bubvergi.com' and 'bubgov.mobi' were identified for the same purpose. The Ministry of Public Works and Transport immediately took action to block the sites in question.
The only address where the navigation, inspection and departure fees of motor vehicles can be paid online with a credit card is the 'https://online.vergi.gov.ct.tr' address of the Tax Office. There is also a link to this site on the website of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, 'www.bub.gov.ct.tr'. Vehicle owners are kindly requested to use the websites of state institutions to pay their fees online.
