“Monkeypox disease detected in a patient in north Cyprus

The TRNC Ministry of Health on Saturday announced that Monkey Flower disease was detected in a patient who applied to the State Hospital on Saturday.

The Ministry stated that the patient was isolated in the Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases service at the Lefkosia Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu hospital and his treatment has started.  

It was also emphasized that proceedings were initiated for the follow-up of their contacts.
