Man arrested for drunk driving and using fake driver's license in Güzelyurt

Police on Sunday arrested a man who was stopped for traffic check for having a fake drivers license and stating a fake name on alcohol test report. 

The incident happened in Güzelyurt Mevlevi roundabout.

Police said the suspect identified only as IM, 23, A zimbabwean who was flagged down during traffic inspection was found to be under the influence of 109 mlg of alcohol.

Police said he gave a photo copy of someone's else drivers license and also wrote the name on the license on the alcohol test report instead of his won.

He was arrested as per a court order, and the alcohol test report was seized as evidence.  

The police demanded that the suspect be kept in police custody for 3 days in order for the investigation to be carried out safely, as the matter has just begun, the purpose and status of the suspect in the country should be determined, the statements that need to be taken and the statements that should be taken if the suspect is released. .
