6-foot python eats 54-year-old woman in indonesia
A gran was eaten alive by a 22-foot python in Indonesia after she disappeared while working on a plantation.
Jahrah, 54, was collecting rubber in the Jambi province on Friday when she disappeared.
Her worried family raised the alarm and started searching the woodland when they came across the massive reptile stretched out in a clearing two days alter
Horrified locals noticed a large bulge in its tummy and their worst fears were confirmed when they cut it open and found Jahrah in the stomach.
A graphic video shows the sliced-open serpent and the woman curled up inside.
A blue tarpaulin then covered the corpse of the predator and its victim.
Anto, Head of the Terjun Gajah village where the gran lived, said the
snake is believed to have attacked Jahrah by biting her and then
wrapping itself around her to suffocate her.
She was then swallowed hole in a painful ordeal that would have taken at least two hours from her head to her toes.
The official said: “The victim did not come home after saying goodbye to her family to go to the garden collecting rubber from trees on Friday. Her family then reported her missing to the local authorities, and a search has been carried out since then.
“Residents killed the snake and dissected its stomach contents. Everyone
was astonished. It turned out that the woman we were looking for was in
the snake’s stomach.”
Anto said no residents witnessed when Jahrah was eaten by a snake as she went to the garden alone.
He said the conditions in his village were now tense as a number of giant pythons have been seen in the village.
Previously residents tried to catch a snake that was longer, measuring around 27 feet.
However, they failed to catch the snake because they were overwhelmed by its enormous size.
Anto added: “Previously there were three people who found and tried to catch a 27-foot-long snake, but failed.
“Villagers are now worried that bigger snakes are still in the forest.
The presence of this giant snake has also swallowed two resident goats.”
