TRNC reduces fuel prices

The government of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has announced a discount in fuel prices.

The announcement was made by the Minister of Economy and Energy Olgun Amcaoğlu on Wednesday.

The reduction was necessitated due to the decrease in global oil prices.

Minister Amcaoğlu stated that there will be no price changes in Euro Diesel, that the price increase in Euro Diesel has a negative impact on the whole economy and that there is no easy regression in prices.

 He said that they decided not to reflect this increase to the citizens, thinking that they would balance it.

The new price was reduced by 1.33TL.

The new price discount will come into effect from midnight on Thursday, 1, September, 2022. 

Accordingly, the new prices are as follows:
95 Octane Gasoline reduced from 20.75 TL to 19.42TL
98 Octane Gasoline reduced from 21.06 TL to 19.73TL
Euro Diesel remains at 25.70 TL
Kerosene/Gas oil remain at  25.43TL
