Turkish Lira reach new low against foreign currencies

The Turkish Lira reached a new low against foreign currencies on Wednesday follow a statement by Turkiye President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan that "interest rates" will not be increased.

On Wednesday, the Turkish Lira depreciated against major foreign currencies as 1 Sterling rose to 21.55 TL, 1 Dollar exceeded 17 TL and the Euro 18.30TL.

It was observed that the depreciation of the Lira against the foreign currency started after a statement of the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the beginning of the week.
