The price of chicken has increased by almost 15% in the TRNC.

According to a report by Yeniduzen on Thursday, the weight of chicken, which was sold for 43.48 TL, has increased by 6.51 TL to 49.99 TL, L per kilo, a 15% hike.

The increase was seen not only in the weight of the whole chicken, but also in some pieces of chicken products.

The weight of breast fillet in chicken increased from 69.56 TL to 80 TL, in some pieces this figure exceeded 80 TL. While chicken thigh increased from 48.23 TL to 55.47 TL, the weight of tenderloin increased from 72.09 TL to 75.75 TL.  

While it was stated that some markets would increase their prices on Monday, it was stated that some changes were made today.

Chicken wing prices decreased

The weight of the wing, which is the most expensive region of chicken and the most demanded part, decreased from 68.10 TL to 61.91 TL.

It was stated that there was no change in the prices of offal sets such as liver, gizzard and neck.
