Passenger with no idea how to fly airplane safely lands plane after pilot gets sick

An air traffic controller in the USA has successfully guided a passenger on a private plane to land safely at Palm Beach International Airport in Florida after the pilot descended into incoherence partway into the flight.

According to wpbf.com, citing the Federal Aviation Administration, the incident happened at about 12.30pm on Tuesday with a single-engine Cessna Caravan C208 flying from Marsh Harbor in the Bahamas to Fort Pierce in Florida.

About one hour into the flight the pilot reportedly fell ill, forcing the passenger to take over and make a frantic call to traffic control.
