Farmers clash with police in Lefkosa, pours manure in front of Presidency SÜTEK office.

Livestock Breeders Union President Mustafa Naimoğulları and some producers were arrested on Wednesday morning in Lefkosa for pouring manure in front of the Presidency and SÜTEK office.

There was tensions in front of both the Presidency and SÜTEK on Thursday morning as livestock producers gathered for an action on the grounds that there is no solution to their problems. Police took security measures in front of the Presidency and SÜTEK.

Since there was no solution to their problems, the producers decided to take action and pour manure in front of the Presidency and SÜTEK. The President of the Animal Producers and Breeders' Union, Mustafa Naimoğulları, and 6 producers were arrested. 

The animal producer activists turned their anger on the direction of the police for arresting their friends.

Producers made a statement in front of SÜTEK, and conveyed their reactions to the SÜTEK Manager: “The producer has gone bankrupt, you cannot find a solution. We are not ashamed to spill this excrement. This is our bread and butter. You are wearing a suit and sitting, if they say we will cut 20% off, you will rebel against you. We are in this excrement every day.”
