Delivery man arrested in south Cyprus for delivering coffee and straws with drugs inside to prisoner in police station

A Greek Cypriot man was arrested and detained on Sunday n Limassol, southern Cyprus for delivering drugs hidden in coffee straws to a prisoner.

The suspect, a 30-year-old delivery man reportedly delivered two coffees with cannabis wrapped in cello tape inside the cups as well as straws stuffed with cocaine at a detainee in Limassol district police station on Sunday, May, 16.

The suspect and the detainee said they were not aware that the drink was laced with drugs.

The amount of cannabis was about 5.5 grams while that of cocaine about 1.2 grams.

He was released pending further investigations.
